How SUPERNOVA Fitness GmbH increased revenue and capacity with SYMBIONT EMS
Elora Born and Christian Niederfeilner run SUPERNOVA Fitness GmbH in Berlin-Karow, a studio that deliberately takes a different approach from traditional fitness concepts. Together with their team, they offer a more holistic model that brings EMS use, personal support, nutrition coaching and modern diagnostics together in one connected health system.
The SUPERNOVA crew does not focus on quick, short-term results. Their goal is to help members become stronger, healthier and more capable over time, with a training system that fits into everyday life.
SUPERNOVA decided to work with SYMBIONT early in the studio’s development after previously using classic stationary EMS equipment. It soon became clear that the biggest challenge was not the training itself. The studio needed a system that could keep quality consistent in their day-to-day operations.
High-quality training equipment was one reason SUPERNOVA switched to SYMBIONT, but it was not the only one. SYMBIONT also provided the team with a wireless, flexible system that fitted seamlessly into the studio’s existing concept.
Elora, Christian and their team also valued the rental model, which made it easier to invest in the SYMBIONT system. The personal support and direct access to the team throughout the setup process were equally as important.

Quality and service from a single provider
Both managing directors emphasise this point again and again. The implementation of SYMBIONT was well organised from start to finish, with close support throughout.
Direct contact with the SYMBIONT team and personal support during onboarding made it much easier for SUPERNOVA to integrate the system into the studio’s existing operations. As Christian puts it:
“For us as a studio, SYMBIONT is a partner that not only impresses technically, but also proves itself in day-to-day practice. The scalability, service and simple integration into our studio operations make the system especially valuable for us.”
Today, SUPERNOVA uses the SYMBIONT training system for much more than classic one-to-one EMS training. It has become a core part of a concept that includes personal training, EMPOWER programmes, EMS cardio, home and hybrid solutions, support for professional athletes, and fitness services for companies and sports clubs.
Where has the biggest change become visible in everyday studio life? For Elora and Christian, the answer is clear: flexibility. Members can now receive much more individual support, while new training models help reduce drop-outs and create alternatives to classic personal training.
Offers such as EMS cardio and EMPOWER, which require little or no staff input, have also helped SUPERNOVA increase revenue and achieve more stable capacity. Elora and her team are also pleased to see membership numbers rising, as the broader concept now appeals to target groups who feel better supported by the studio.
Overall, the SUPERNOVA team is convinced that the quality of the training technology, its continuous development, ease of use and strong service make the investment worthwhile. This is especially true because devices and suits can be scaled flexibly.

Members are impressed too
Feedback from SUPERNOVA’s members also shows the impact of SYMBIONT. Members particularly value the wireless use, the range of programmes for individual needs and the pleasant impulse feeling during training.
Many members who already had experience using EMS also find the system much more modern and comfortable than suits with wet electrodes. They also appreciate the efficiency of wireless training.
For Elora, the greatest value lies in how SYMBIONT changes the overall logic of training:
“SYMBIONT supports exactly the path we are taking with SUPERNOVA: moving away from pure training and towards a complete concept built around support, structure, diagnostics and long-term development.”
She also values the flexibility SYMBIONT creates:
“What makes SYMBIONT special for us is the flexibility it creates in everyday studio life. We can support members more individually, include training beyond the studio and still maintain a high standard of quality.”
Christian agrees: “SYMBIONT fits our ambition to see EMS not just as a single training session, but as a long-term health system. The combination of modern technology, a dedicated suit and flexible use makes training much more sustainable for members.”
But the two managing directors are not stopping there. They want to continue expanding both the professional sports area and the home and hybrid training segment. More broadly, they want to think beyond conventional EMS, just as SYMBIONT does.
